My Story
Session guitarist / Musician / Composer / Guitar Teacher & stunt guitarist for the prog-rock band Vesper Tide
Personal philosophy about music
As Ender Zarin, my approach to music is deeply rooted in the belief that music is a universal language, transcending words and directly connecting with the soul. This philosophy was ignited the moment I first heard Joe Satriani's 'Time Machine,' at age 13, leading me to see the guitar not just as an instrument, but as a vessel for emotional and ideational expression.
My musical journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of self-discovery and innovation. From teaching myself guitar in a pre-internet era, forming a Dream Theater cover band in high school, to exploring progressive and nu-metal in Japan, each phase of my life has been a testament to my belief in music as an evolving art form. This journey has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the transformative power of music, both in its creation and its reception.
Collaboration is another cornerstone of my musical philosophy. Working with bands like Vesper Tide and contributing to projects like 'Worldband.me' have reinforced my belief in the collective power of musicians. I see music as a collaborative journey, where different minds and talents come together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
I‘m inspired by the moment, artistic freedom and authenticity. I strive to create music that is true to my experiences and inspirations.
Finally, my re-engagement with music after a focus on family and a professional career in science has taught me the importance of balance and integration. I see music as an integral part of life, interwoven with personal growth, family, and professional pursuits. This holistic view drives my current work, where each composition is a reflection of a life lived in harmony with music's ever-present rhythm.
In essence, my unique aspect and personal philosophy about music are about continuous evolution, heartfelt expression, collaborative synergy, artistic freedom, and the integration of music with the tapestry of life.
